'Unity Sculpture'. Made in Ghana by the most skilled artisans of the Ashanti region. They use the wood from the roots of indigenous African trees such as baobab and black-wood. The piece must be carved from a solid piece of wood without breaking or cracking it. The five dancing figures have very expressive faces; they are interlocked to represent the strength and unity . These sculptures are also carved with different numbers of figures, such as three or seven.
