Thank you youtube subscribers

On 14th November 2012,I uploaded my first video. Teaching others how to recycle paper e.t.c into valuable items is my contribution to helping the environment. Thanks to everyone who has viewed my videos and I would like to encourage you to practice it.

Trash to treasure

What is trash?  Trash in this context would mean " things thought to be worthless or that have been thrown away". Treasure is simply a "valuable or valued item". The way  to turn your trash to treasure is by recycling.

Recycling is "the collection and often reprocessing of discarded materials for reuse". Recyclable materials include many kinds of glass, paper, metal, plastic, textiles, and electronics. The benefit of recycling are as follows:
-Reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills and incinerators
- Prevents pollution caused by reducing the need to collect new raw materials
- Reduces greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global climate change
- Helps sustain the environment for future generations

Have you wondered where all the paper calendars go at the end of the year? Yes most of them end up in trash cans. Perhaps it could be reused and turned into  vase, jewelry, bag, picture frames and decorations.

Paper beads made from  paper calendar.

Waterproof varnish on paper beads

Acrilex gloss water based lacquer, makes paper beads water proof with a glossy finish. It dries very fast. I also like the fact that it is non-toxic and odorless.
